Rashid Ali Bynum Arrested: He is facing murder charges after gunning down Eunice Dwumfour, a New Jersey city councilwoman.
Rashid Ali Bynum is a 28-year-old man from Virginia who has been arrested for the murder of Eunice Dwumfour.
Eunice was a Republican member of the Sayreville Borough Council. She once worked as a Director of Churches for Champions Royal Assembly NA.
Dwumfour was gunned down on February 1, 2023. Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone recently announced that a witness reported seeing a person who fits Bynum’s description in a vehicle that is connected to him.
NJ Rashid Ali Bynum Arrested After Killing Eunice Dwumfour
The Virginian Rashid Ali Bynum has been arrested in connection to Eunice Dwumfour’s murder. The arrest of Rashid came nearly three months after the death of Dwumfour.
Reportedly, Rashid was arrested at 10:45 am on Tuesday. Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone shared the news but didn’t give a motive behind the shooting.
However, Ciccone revealed that Dwumfour knew Rashid from Fire Congress Fellowship and the murderer was also listed as one of the contacts in Dwumfour’s cellphone.
Furthermore, Rashid was developed as a suspect after his phone was discovered to have been in an area off Ernston Road in Sayreville before the murder.

Rashid Ali Bynum Arrest and Charges Details
As stated earlier, Rashid Ali Bynum was arrested on Tuesday for the murder of Eunice Dwumfour. Following his arrest, Bynum was slapped with first-degree murder charges.
In addition, Bynum also faces separate charges, including the second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun and second-degree possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose.
Witnesses reported seeing an unoccupied white Hyundai in the area. The video showed a person walking up the sidewalk toward Check Avenue in Dwumfour’s housing complex minutes before the murder of Eunice.
Authorities revealed Bynum was arrested in Chesapeake City, Virginia and is awaiting extradition in New Jersey. Moreover, Rashid will be held at the Middlesex County Jail.

Rashid Ali Bynum Killed Eunice Dwumfour: Motive
Eunice Dwumfour was found with multiple gunshot wounds on February 1, 2023, just after 7 pm. Middlesex County officials pronounced her dead at the scene.
Dwumfour was reportedly inside her car near her home when she was shot. CNN affiliate WABC reported the bullets slumped her onto the steering wheel as Dwumfour rolled down a residential street unconscious.
After that, Eunice crashed into other parked vehicles. It has been reported that Eunice’s young daughter was waiting for her mother inside their home when shots rang out.
Eyewitnesses said they saw a man dressed in black running from the shooting scene, but the investigators didn’t comment anything for a month due to the ongoing investigation.
After three months, Rashid was identified as the suspect, and he had already been charged. Despite getting arrested, the motive of Bynum behind the murder of Eunice has not been disclosed yet.
As Rashid was listed on Eunice’s contact list, multiple speculations have risen online. However, more details will be updated soon regarding the case as the investigation continues.
